Sand Pond Society’s Gift to Camp for the Scouting Centennial

Thank you for considering a donation to the Sand Pond Society for the log cabin campaign.  As you are aware, the Northern NJ Council, BSA has approved over $210,000 for the renovation of cabins and buildings at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, focusing on the log cabins that make up the center of camp and its summer and winter programs. In addition to this, the Sand Pond Society has donated over $23,000 for the repair and improvement of the large fieldstone fireplaces in Van Dusen Lodge and Ho-Ho-Kus Lodge.  Due to funding constraints, we are attempting to raise another $5,000 to install wood-burning stoves in the smaller rooms in those two cabins.

Our goal is to make sure that all Boy Scout troops who camp in these cabins are able to heat the buildings exclusively by burning wood.

With 98% of the total project cost already funded, and contractors currently working in camp, we felt that it was absolutely essential that we as Scouts who love this camp step forward and each donate something to make an "A" project an "A+." To this end, we have issued a commemorative patch.

We are asking for a donation of $25 per patch to reach our goal, but we will happily accept any donation amount.  Please feel free to forward as many as your friends to this donation page.
